We were leaving a friends house a few weeks ago, I was letting Madison walk, she didn't notice the inch or so drop out the front door and took a nose dive into the welcome mat. :( It was scratched up pretty bad, but once we got her cleaned up, it never bothered her. It just looked much worse than it felt.
